About the Department:

Major Focus of the Department

 

i) Teaching: The department is running of B.E. Electronics & Communication Engineering & M.E. (Electronics & Communication Engg.) with specialization in Digital Communication Engineering.
ii) Research: Presently four teachers are engaged in doing research work leading to Ph.D. degree.

 

Basic & Advanced facilities :
i. Telematics laboratory.

 

ii. Microprocessor Development System.

 

iii. Fully Computerized PCB fabrication facility .

 

iv. Logic Analyser.

 

v. Spectrum Analyser.

 

The department is successfully running BE ECE for last 25 years, successfully running ME ECE for last 10 years and successfully started & nurtured courses like BE (CSE), & M.C.A. P.G.D.CTA and after 5-7 years handed over these courses to CSE Department.

Outstanding achievements of the Department

 

Successfully running BE ECE for last 25 years, successfully running ME ECE for last 10 years and successfully started & nurtured courses like BE (CSE), & M.C.A. P.G.D.CTA and after 5-7 years handed over these courses to CSE Department.

 

The Department has received grants from AICTE for the modernizing of laboratories during 1995-2000. The total amount of grants was Rs. 19 lacs.

 

High success rate in IES (the premier Engg. Services of country). Some students have also succeeded in other India level exams. Like IAS/IFS etc. Established 10 new laboratories since 1982. Many students selected for higher degrees in foreign Universities. Produced more than 800 Elect. & Comm.Engineers.
